Resources and guides for college students with Learning Disabilities

Where to look for help to do my homework

According to the 2016 National Center for Education Statistics survey, around 19% of undergraduate students in the US suffer from some form of learning disorder. There’s no reason a student with a learning disability should feel that they can’t get higher education when they want to. It can be overwhelming for an average student like me to do my homework always on time. However, it can be especially unnerving and challenging to go through college students with learning disabilities. As a small step to support equal education opportunities for all, we have composed a list of resources and guides available to challenged students.

1. Independent organizations

There are several organizations that work specifically towards providing help to students with learning disabilities to achieve their education goals. These organizations are profit or nonprofit, governmental or private. They not only give counseling to families on the best educational choices for their kids but also advocate for policies that shape the legislation in making the education system more accessible for all.

These organizations include the National Center for Learning Disabilities, the US Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, LDOnline, AccessSTEM, and GeniusWithin. Students or their parents can talk to representatives and other parents and students, start localized communities with their help, and bring other related issues to their attention which can help improve the education system in the long run.

2. Online Homework Help

Students can avail of services provided by online platforms like Tutorbin, Helpacads, and GradeMiners, where experts from around the world do your homework for you. While many sites deliver customized assignments and homework to you within the deadline, a few of these, such as TutorBin, also supply video explanations, doubt-clearing sessions, support materials, plagiarism reports, etc. You can upload your questions, make the payment, and get answers within short durations and without any hassle. Using this option is beneficial because it also helps in time management and reduces stress due to homework overload.

3. On-Campus groups and resources

Many universities and institutions have on-campus or online buddy programs that connect challenged students with each other. Member students often run such communities; so you can enquire about your college’s local support. Thus, being a part of such groups helps students overcome their struggles by taking advice from experienced peers and seniors, creating an online homework help system, along with teaching them leadership and social qualities like managing and operating groups and communities.

4. Online courses and tutoring

Numerous organizations have launched online courses to help students with learning difficulties in recent years. These online platforms can teach complex subjects in ways specifically designed to help you understand the issue. Some platforms also provide one-on-one services through their networks of tutors trained to meet the needs of challenged students.

5. Browser Extensions

Many tools and software packages are specifically designed to help students with learning differences. For example, the browser extension “Signly” help students with hearing difficulties access audio web content; the chrome extension “StayFocused” helps attention deficit people by blocking distracting sites; “DyslexisToolbos” is a web extension that allows dyslexic students to read text on websites. Furthermore, a number of general homework help tools that I use to do my homework, like Grammarly, Ginger, and Quillbot, can also be useful for writing assignments, essays, and speeches.

6. Mobile apps

Mobile apps can be very handy and practical. Subject-specific apps like ModMath, TodoMath, MyScript Calculator, and Slingo, as well as challenge-oriented apps like MyTalkTools, Voice Dream Reader, Autism Timer, MindNote, SoundNote, and Avaz AAC, can be used by students to help in reading, writing, staying focused, and completing their assignments on time. Alternatively, you can download the TutorBin mobile app and get homework help at very affordable prices.

Conclusion

You don’t have to give up on your dream of achieving that degree just because it seems unachievable at times. I use many of these resources to do my homework, like the assignment help platform TutorBin. You can check out these options and decide accordingly. I hope that this article assisted you in your determination to bring you closer to your goal.
